Is lab-grown meat truly vegan?

Lab-grown meat still requires animal cells, which means exploitation and incentivized breeding. Even if suffering is reduced, exploitation remains. Should vegans really support something that still depends on animals instead of avoiding exploitation altogether?

Do you think if the tech ever advances to the point where no new animal cells are needed, like fully synthetic scaffolding or immortalized lines...vegans would be more open to it?
